In terms of the global population, Hinduism is one of the four major religions of the world with a population of one billion.
India is the motherland for people of Hindu origin, Hindu communities exists all over the world. Countries with more than half a million Hindu population include: India, UK, USA, Canada, Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mauritius and South Africa.
